End of Oct??

How is everyone doing on this cloudy Sunday?
We are low key around here with things to do, but haven't got out the door yet. Anyone got a match?
The way things are going it looks as though we won't be able to move back home until end of Oct or later.
The Henrick's have to be the kindest people in the world. It's embarrassing that we are still here in their lovely home.
There is nothing that is appropriate to show our gratitude to their giving hearts! How humbling!
God is GOOD and we are thankful.
Pictures are showing where we are at this point of renovation. Gone from the flood water to close to getting the floors installed. Carl is working on design. Wood flooring has to lay out for a week before being installed and the 2 weeks before sanded. Within that time, the kitchen cabinets will get here and be installed and we still have to purchase the fridge, stove, oven, microwave, lighting, etc. Everything painted, and then the clean up outside which is a huge mess with a capitol M! Wanta help? LOL
No check from insurance yet. :(

Love you all,

Tuesday Already???

Hi everybody!
I know...my pictures are silly, but we had fun acting silly when we took them. I'm encouraging him to "come on...let's go work out!" He's like, "Iiiii don't know"...but he lead the way!
Where did our Monday go? Here we are getting to the end of the day Tuesday and it's a whirlwind.
We started our day off again at the Y. Did you catch that? "Again" This is huge that John is going with me! Yeah John!
It's been fun. We walk together and he waits while I work out a bit. Slowly, but surely getting back into a routine. Afterwards, we go to the Y's cafe...It's a delicious cold yogurt mixed with fruit, sandwich and just visiting time.
The rest of the day has been running errands.
Home now working on my computer again. Most frustrating thing I've done in a long time. I'm giving up and letting my guy come out to do his touch on getting us connected to the Internet.
I have accomplished getting my pictures off my new Android phone to my computer. Worked on that yesterday with no luck and today it was zip, zip and there they were. I learned I should not work on too many challenges in one day. WHEW!
Hope all are well and happy.
I will be doing a catch up on our home rebuild soon and also will be posting another devotion in a few days.
BB has come to do her wash and work on the computer.
I love you.
Blessings,

Good Sunday Afternoon,
I heard from a few people yesterday sharing with me what their busy lives were up to.
Now here we are on a Sunday afternoon and here I am blogging again.
It 's really a nice day here, but still very hot. I can tell we are right around the corner from some lower temps.
The reason I can tell is I want it to be so!
Church was great this morning. For SS hour all women met together to hear the upcoming plans for Fall throughout next summer. Looks like a lot of good planning on our leader's part. I'm looking forward to being with all my sisters again. I have missed so much this summer and did not attend my normal Tuesday Ladies Bible study last year because I had my Dad. He will come back in Dec sometime, but I hope for more freedom this time around. It's called a lot of HELP
So this year we are going to study the Promises of God. I love dwelling on His promises because He is faithful. It's especially GOOD to know this when I am unfaithful...but I am covered by the shed blood of Jesus, forgiven, not condemned.
After Church, we went by the Post Rd house to check it and get the mail. The house has been broken into twice. They stole a lot of our contractor's tools. Amazing how the human heart works! Now we have securely braced doors, etc. The only way anyone could break in now will be to break a window. Some one has taken a key from one of the doors at some point. There have been so many work people we do not know in and out of our home since the flood, it's no wonder this has happened.
Anyone have a mean Doberman we could use to guard ? GRRRRRRR WOULD SCARE THEM OFF.
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. What are you doing?
John is reading, CC is watching me and BC...well, I don't know what he is up to. BC, come out, come out wherever you are.

What's up with you this Saturday?

What's everybody doing today?
I've been cleaning house and washing clothes all morning, listened to my One Year Audio Bible, that I've shared with you if you want to listen each day, and just sat down to blog. My how life changes with all these technical vehicles.
Speaking of technical vehicles, I've also been trying to learn my new phone. My Blackberry scroll ball stopped working, so I now have a Droid Verizon. I think I am challenged by this phone. I'm going to win! A quick trip to Verizon will fix me right up.
Rest of my day will be a trip to Costco and Verizon. Maybe we will eat out for lunch AND dinner. :)
Have a wonderful day and I love you!

Love and Blessings,

...there is nothing left to tolerate

By Chris Daniel

Chris Daniels says, "What About Tolerance?

With all this talk about different worldviews failing to fit reality, you might wonder what happened to tolerance. It sure doesn't sound tolerant, does it? But what is tolerance?

Our modern notion of tolerance is that you can't say that someone else's beliefs are wrong. If you do, you are being intolerant. But that is not what tolerance has always meant. The historic meaning of tolerance is that you should be willing to live peacefully and respectfully with those you believe, and even say, are wrong.

If you think about it, our modern "redefined" understanding of tolerance doesn't even make sense. If you can't say something is wrong or false, there is nothing left to tolerate.

But even more than this, our modern understanding of tolerance undercuts itself. It does the very thing that it claims ought not to be done. It says, essentially, that it is wrong for you to say that someone else is wrong. This, of course, fails the Test of Logical Consistency, and thus cannot be an approach that fits reality.

The historic meaning of tolerance is actually a reflection of the teaching of Jesus himself, and this is how we ought to approach others and the worldviews they hold."
