Just thought you might want to know...They are WITH me!

It's good to be on the same page!
This crew that was telling me this morning how the nest would not be hurt by the heat have come on board!  Little Miss Dovey was taken good care of before they left. I want you to look at the extra mile they went for her.
She says, "Thank you, thank you!!"
They didn't finish that side so they added a temp piece over her and even added a fan...now that is above and beyond!!

She is perched and happy. Now I'll sleep better (so will she)

Through it all ...

Top section today.
A closer look...
Work area
They'll work on this tomorrow...

Soon shade again...

BUT NOW THIS NEXT PIC IS THE STAR!!
She is the ultimate supervisor.  She's been through every loud buzz and pound imaginable and has stayed faithfully watching over her eggs (and the job, I might add)
I requested no one  mess with this part of the frame for the carport cover.  It's her domain (and her little chicks) All the workmen have been very aware of her watchful eye and have done their best to not mess with her nest.  I'm a little worried about all the heat she is enduring without the cover.  I'm going to put a cover over this corner or her babies are going to fry!
THROUGH IT ALL....Little Momma Dove

Here we go....come on back little dove...you have shade again.

All better now...(I hope!)

All new soon...again.

After the hail storm a few weeks ago the repair has finally started at the Coles'.  It's been a busy week of workmen in and out and they are doing a super fantastic job! They should be finished by the end of the week.
We are so pleased with Green Hills Construction Co/ Nick and Randy and their crew.  How refreshing it is to have quality work and quality people to work with.  Thank you Nick and Randy!
We've also enjoyed a visit from our nephew, Ben Clark, while here on business.
Here's a few pics of the work going on.

 Pretty hot up there!
Until the next blog...with the after pics...have a great evening.
Now where is dinner with our sweet nephew, Ben, tonight?

Today is the day...hammer, hammer, pound, pound...Yeah!

The hail damage repair work  has begun.
It will go into next week and we'll have a new roof, damaged woodwork replaced, new window wraps, new carport/porch cover, gutters replaced.
Today they are concentrating on replacing the bad wood.  Monday the roof and on from there

Now, let's see ... what can I find I just have to do to NOT be here...nails, hair, shopping, lunch...things a girl has to do, right! Just kidding...I actually like to be home when 'things' are going on.  It's fun.
Hope everyone is having a good day and staying cool.
Until the next blog...
mmm-whaaa! (that's blowing you a kiss :)

Let's see...sunshine or sick? Up & at it or 'blahs'?

I choose Sunshine and Up and At It!
Anyone else out there had this bug that seems to be going around? I make a terrible sick person.  I just lay around and get nothing done except the 'have too's' and that's pushing it.
My John feels bad so much of the time. I don't see how he manages to smile much less do anything.  What a trooper!  Like I said...I don't make a very good sick person.

Well, the highlight of the week is a visit from Josey...little Miss Sunshine! Sure hope she doesn't come down with this virus.  She's spending yesterday and today with us.  We've watched movies, played on the computer, watered flowers, and just hung out. She gets to visit the next two weeks when her Mother is working in Nashville 3 days a week.  Hopefully by the next visit I'll be functioning on all cylinders and ready to up and go places.  Cheekwood tree houses, movie, park and maybe even a picnic thrown in.

DRENCHED!

In July we will be keeping little Evva again while they go on vacation for a week...better eat my Wheaties! WHEW  she's a little sweetie - a hand full -  AND she's off her binky now so nothing to pop in her mouth when the whining starts.  YIKES...guess that means a lot of rocking going on...and I will love that. She is a snuggle bug if there ever was one.

Have a wonderful day.
I hope to take Josey to see the tree houses at Cheekwood today if I'm feeling better.
So far, so good.
